Daelim Enterprise, a leading manufacturer specializing in automotive engine care chemicals, announced on the 20th that it has obtained a patent (No. 10-2853217) for a wear-resistant and heat-stable engine-coating composition containing a graphene quantum dot dispersion and its manufacturing method.
This newly patented technology applies a graphene quantum dot dispersion to significantly enhance wear resistance, thermal stability, and cold resistance compared to conventional engine coating formulations. With excellent thermal and oxidative stability, it helps maintain the performance of engine oil even under high-temperature conditions.
In particular, it is optimized to form a stable lubricating layer even in low-viscosity oil environments, such as those found in hybrid engines.
The patented technology has been applied to Daelim’s premium line product, Protech Prime Graphene Plus Engine Coating.
Protech Prime Graphene Plus can be used in all internal-combustion vehicles including gasoline, diesel, and LPG engines. Especially in hybrid vehicles that frequently restart, its ultra-nano graphene coating film minimizes metal friction.
Based on 100% premium synthetic base oil, the product is fortified with anti-wear and heat-stabilizing additives, providing both extended engine life and improved fuel efficiency.
Graphene is an advanced nanomaterial consisting of a single-layer hexagonal lattice of carbon atoms, known for its exceptional physical and chemical properties. It penetrates deeply into friction interfaces, blocking direct metal-to-metal contact and effectively reducing wear.
